FIREFALLDOWN - 'These Wounds' Single

'These Wounds' is the newest single from Pop-Punk band, FIREFALLDOWN. The first single from their debut album of the same title (released May 2012) see’s the London- based band strive to find a place in the overflowing market of UK pop-punk bands. Combing all the elements of a “good” Pop/Punk song; loud raucous guitar riffs, chants, sing-a-long choruses, and a booming double-kick drum pedal.  The real question is, if they manage to do this successfully. To answer this in one word: yes.

FIREFALLDOWN indeed succeed in making their first single a good one.  The track contains a prominent bass riff, and a guitar riff that’ll leave you mimicking it, and humming along.  Although it’s hard to put your finger on what exactly it is, something differentiates FIREFALLDOWN from most current UK pop-punk bands. The veiled elements of funk in the bass line? The easily relatable lyrics? It’s up to the listener to determine that.
